SOILWORK Singer Is 'Thrilled' To Take Part In Upcoming KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, LAMB OF GOD Tour

September 26, 2007

Swedish metallers SOILWORK have commented on their participation in the upcoming North American tour co-headlined by LAMB OF GOD and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE (also featuring DEVILDRIVER)

Says singer Björn Strid: "We are thrilled to be on this tour which we think is the best tour package to hit the states for a very long time. We've toured with the boys in KILLSWITCH ENGAGE a couple of times before and we both sure do know how to share a bottle(s) of Jack. We always had a blast! We haven't toured with LAMB OF GOD or DEVILDRIVER before but we've occasionally run into each other and all we can say is that we definitely dig their music and are really looking forward to get to know those guys better. Prepare to soil your pants people!"

SOILWORK will be the featured guests on the "Hard Files" program on Sirius Satellite Radio's Hard Attack this Thursday, September 27 at 7:00 p.m. EST. Rebroadcasts: Fridays at noon ET, Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. ET and Sundays at 6:00 p.m. ET. Join host Kal as they shred some new tracks off their forthcoming Nuclear Blast release, "Sworn to a Great Divide", and play songs from their friends in LAMB OF GOD, DIMENSION ZERO, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, TERROR 2000, DARKANE, SCARVE and more!

"Sworn to a Great Divide" will be released in North America on October 23 via Nuclear Blast Records.

As previously reported, SOILWORK contributed a new song called "Overclocked" to the soundtrack of the European point-and-click adventure game of the same name, due in Europe on October 12 via Anaconda. The track will also be available for purchase via the Nuclear Blast Musicshop.

Overclocked is being developed by House of Tales, the Germany-based studio that worked on other point-and-clickers The Moment of Silence and Mystery of the Druids. The psychological thriller focuses on army psychiatrist David McNamara, who is called to Staten Island Forensic Hospital to evaluate the condition of five young patients who have lost their memories to try to get to the root of their psychological trauma. In the game, the player switches between the six different characters as they explore their memories.

SOILWORK recently announced the addition of guitarist Daniel Antonsson (DIMENSION ZERO, PATHOS) to the group's ranks.

Guitarist Peter Wichers left SOILWORK in December 2005 to pursue a career in producing.
